Happy Holidays from crotchet&croptops!

happyholidays

Jake and I are going home for Christmas, so we didn’t get a tree or hang lights. It just didn’t feel like Christmas at all in our apartment and thats the best part! The anticipation of Christmas day. So I put a few things together to make it feel a little more like Holidays. Hope you enjoy!

Want a really awesome Christmas card this year????

Robertson’s Thanksgiving Brunch

Jake’s family came up to North Carolina to spend Thanksgiving with us this year. Dagny and I came up with a delicious not-so-traditional Thanksgiving brunch that I would like to share. Here’s how the menu went…

Appetizers

Dates stuffed with manchego and pecans

Sausage balls with cheddar, cranberry, apple and sage

Pull apart apple cinnamon bread

Hot spiced apple cider

Brunch

Roasted Turkey

Pumpkin waffles with apple cider syrup

Stuffing cups with leeks, mushrooms, fennel, sage, and gruyere

Cheese grits with sautéed greens and bacon

Sweet potato and regular potato hash with brussel sprouts, cranberry and bacon

 Egg casserole with green onion

Cheddar and green onion scones

Carrot and ginger scones with apple and golden raisin

And to top everything off, cranberry compote, cranberry cream cheese, gravy and bacon and onion jam

Everything was amazing! I am very thankful to have such an awesome family!

Holiday Market

IAMARKET hosted a Holiday Market at Marquis Market this past weekend. It was my first real handmade show and it went GREAT! I was so excited to get such positive feed back and to meet so many great and talented people! I sold my wool infinity scarves, jewelry, wrap dresses, chandeliers, and some fun christmas decorations! Seeing how people reacted to my shop and having people purchase these items that I put so much of myself into creating, was such an amazing feeling of accomplishment! I was so happy I had the chance to participate and I can’t wait for the next one!
